Vote interpretation
A recorded “Yes” or “No” answers the exact question placed before a chamber. Procedural votes do not necessarily indicate support for final passage. Present, paired, and not-voting responses are kept distinct when source coverage permits. Party comparisons describe recorded positions; they are not ideological or effectiveness scores.
Neutrality and changes
The same source hierarchy, definitions, and calculations are intended to apply to every member and party. Material methodology changes will be documented before historical comparisons are presented as continuous.
Corrections
If a LegisLens record conflicts with a cited official record, send the page URL, disputed field, and supporting official source to corrections@legislens.net. We will review reproducible issues and correct the site or clarify its coverage.
