Informational service only
LegisLens organizes public information about government, geography, legislation, and elected officials. It is not a government service and does not provide legal, tax, investment, election, or other professional advice. Verify time-sensitive information with the linked official source before relying on it.
Accuracy and availability
We work to identify sources, update dates, calculation methods, and coverage limits. Public records can be delayed, corrected, incomplete, or interpreted differently. We do not guarantee that every record is complete, current, error-free, or continuously available.
Acceptable use
You may use LegisLens for lawful personal, educational, journalistic, and research purposes. You may not interfere with the service; bypass security or access controls; introduce malicious code; impersonate others; use the service to violate law or rights; scrape at a rate that disrupts service; or misrepresent LegisLens data as an endorsement, official government statement, or partisan rating.
Content and public data
Government records and third-party datasets remain subject to their respective terms and legal status. The LegisLens name, visual design, original explanations, software, and compilation are protected to the extent permitted by law. Linking to LegisLens with accurate attribution is welcome.
Third-party services and links
The service may link to or rely on government sources, mapping services, hosting providers, advertisers, and payment processors. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies, and LegisLens is not responsible for third-party content or availability.
Advertising, donations, and subscriptions
Advertising is labeled and does not influence our data or methodology. Donations are voluntary support and do not purchase editorial influence, ownership, or special treatment. Unless expressly stated by a qualified recipient, payments are not tax-deductible charitable contributions. Subscription terms, price, billing interval, benefits, cancellation method, and any refund policy will be shown before purchase.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegisLens is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, LegisLens and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on public records or third-party services.
Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access for misuse. We may update these terms prospectively by posting a revised effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
